Behind The Scenes

Today’s blog post is a little different. Today, I’m sharing some behind the scenes and straight out of the camera (sooc) shots with you! I love to see other photographer’s behind the scenes shots so I thought I’d share some of mine from the last year or so. Enjoy!

First up, some prom photos from 2 years ago, I still love this session!

Prom photos are some of my favorite to take!
SOOC before any editing magic.
I loved this shot in black and white!
It’s hard to tell in this BTS shot but the light behind Nicole was so pretty!

There’s always a reason behind where I place you, in the behind the scenes shot you can’t see it but the light behind Nicole was so pretty!

On my family’s shoot days, I shoot and participate in the portraits, hence the dress! This was from last November at our Fall portrait shoot.

SOOC, so many yellow and green tones!
Edited, much better!

Shooting at the beach was new for me this year! If you missed any of the beach blogs you can see them, here, here, and here. Thanks to my Moma for getting this behind the scenes shot for me, and for getting up at sunrise to help us!

A little tip for shooting on the East Coast, shoot at sunrise…less people and better light, what every photographer wants!

Last but not least, another prom session! These are from Nicole and Charlie’s prom that you can see here if you missed it a few weeks ago! These were shot in harsh light which isn’t always the easiest for me to shoot in but I loved how their portraits turned out!

And another one from their shoot because this shot was my favorite!

SOOC

And one more image because I was torn between color and black and white! Usually if I love an image enough to make it black and white that is the one I prefer but I love both of these! Which do you like better?

You can see more of my behind the scenes on Instagram, follow me @taylorlawsonphoto and follow the hashtag #TLP_BehindTheScenes for more! I love when I’m sent behind the scenes shots, so thank you to those that take them and send them to me after your shoot! If you like what you’ve seen leave a comment below or head over to the contact page here to set up your own shoot. I can’t wait to work with you!

See you on the next blog,

-Tay
